• Wilton residents approve tax relief for new commercial construction (ledgertranscript.com) — Wilton voters have approved a new tax exemption aimed at encouraging commercial and industrial construction and renovations, with officials noting it helps the town compete with nearby Milford and other communities. The Select Board can grant up to a 50% break on new value for as long as 10 years, and residents ultimately rejected attempts to shorten or strictly structure the benefit. A separate article also authorized using reserve funds for a required property revaluation.
