Granite State Independent Living’s 2nd Annual Hoops on Wheels Basketball Tournament

Excitement is building for HOOPS ON WHEELS, GSIL’s second Annual Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. This year’s event will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 starting at 8:00 AM with the championship game commencing at 5:00PM. This fundraising tournament is made up of 22 teams in a single elimination format. The tournament will take place at Three Rivers School and Pembroke Academy, both located on Academy Road, Pembroke and is free and open to the public.

Twenty Two local companies have formed teams and are raising funds for GSIL. Employees from organizations such as Associated Grocers, CGI, Citizens Bank, Crotched Mountain, Granite Investment, Health South, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Northeast Rehab, Pembroke Academy, Prospect Mountain, Ride-Away, Sam’s Club, Sheehan/Phinney, Silvertech, Subway and USI will compete to dethrone defending champion CCA Global.

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote life with independence for people with disabilities and those experiencing the natural process of aging through advocacy, information, education and support.
