SHARE Pantry in Need of Donations for the Busy Summer

SHARE Food Pantry Needs Donations for Busy Summer

With local school children set to begin summer vacation, SHARE's Food Pantry  is preparing for its busiest time of the year.  Many area children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school year, but are without that benefit during the summer.  The Pantry's supply is low, and SHARE is looking for community members to help stock the shelves for the summer.

Needed items include: sandwich bread, peanut butter, canned fruit, tuna, juice and juice boxes, and  healthy snacks such as cereal bars, crackers, and  individual snack packs of applesauce and pudding.  The Pantry also accepts refrigerated  and frozen items such as lunch meat and yogurt.

Nonperishable foods may be dropped off at local churches, and Milford Shaw's, Market Basket, and Stop and Shop grocery stores or Coldwell Banker Realty office near the corner of Routes 101A and 122 in Amherst or at the SHARE Center during regular business hours. All perishable foods must be dropped at the SHARE Center.
