The NH Coalition to End Homelessness is hosting “The Dodging Homelessness High School Tournament ’13” on June 1 at Saint Anselm College. The tournament is a competition that brings New Hampshire students together for a friendly game of dodgeball. The statewide tournament will help raise funds to support scholarships for homeless or formerly homeless New Hampshire students who are looking to pursue higher education, as well as other activities of the Coalition. Each school’s team champion is then invited to participate in the statewide tournament. Participation not only helps provide educational opportunities for less fortunate students, it also fosters broader awareness and understanding of homelessness in New Hampshire, reinforces a sense of community responsibility, and, most importantly, is a fun and engaging event for students, parents, faculty, and staff!
Competing for this year’s tournament is Bishop Brady High School, Hopkinton High School, Manchester West High School, Merrimack High School, Timberlane Regional High School, and Trinity High School.
