Kuster Applauds House Action to Repeal Medical Device Tax
The medical device tax is harmful to New Hampshire companies, and stymies innovation and economic growth across the nation.

This morning, U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster, D-NH, applauded House passage of a bill to repeal the medical device tax, which was signed into law as part of the Affordable Care Act, according to a press statement.
Kuster has opposed the medical device tax since she first took office, and today she voted to repeal it in order to protect New Hampshire companies from a tax that has stymied innovation and hurt job growth in the Granite State.
“Throughout New Hampshire, businesses are creating innovative new medical products that are helping patients across the country,” she said in a statement. “The overly burdensome medical device tax places an unfair strain on these companies, and hinders their ability to hire more New Hampshire workers and move our economy forward. I’ve opposed this tax from day one, and I applaud my colleagues in the House for voting in favor of repealing this onerous tax today.”
