A sobriety checkpoint will be held somewhere in the town of Amherst this weekend, according to a press statement from the New Hampshire State Police.

“It will be conducted under guidelines promulgated by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office,” according to officials.

In a joint statement, both Quinn and Reams said that the departments “consider the identification and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority. Sobriety checkpoints are one of the best methods of deterring impaired drivers.”
