Milford Man Arrested DUI-Drugs in Hollis
Police: Motorists alleged that Nicholas Schirmer was speeding on Federal Hill Road; he was previously arrested for robbery in 2012.

HOLLIS, NH — A local man was arrested three weeks ago for allegedly driving while on drugs in a nearby community, according to police. Nicholas Schirmer, 25, of Federal Hill Road in Milford, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2016, and charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

According to police in Hollis, after just after 10 a.m., police received numerous calls about a red car driving at high speeds down Federal Hill Road. Tipsters provided a description of the vehicle and a plate number, according to police.

A sergeant located the vehicle – a Dodge Neon, with the same plate – on Silver Lake Road. After a brief investigation, the driver, Schirmer was arrested and charged. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Sept. 28.
According to online reports, Schirmer was arrested on February 2012 and charged with being a fugitive from justice connected to robbery and attempted murder charges in Ayer, MA, according to the Milford Cabinet, after a drug deal reportedly went bad. In March 2012, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
