Milford Man Arrested for OUIL Again

Denis Hayner was arrested in Merrimack last week after police received tips about a possible drunk driver on Continental Boulevard.

MERRIMACK, NH – A local man was arrested for drunk driving after another driver on Merrimack streets reported his driving to police.

Denis Hayner, 55, of Settlement Lane in Milford, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2015, and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.

According to an arrest report, Merrimack Police received a report at just past midnight of a possible drunk driver on Continental Boulevard. An officer that was in the area was able to locate the vehicle and stopped it after reportedly observing a motor vehicle infraction.

“When police spoke with the above, Denis Hayner, they did observe signs of alcohol impairment,” according to Mptl Michael Lambert of the Merrimack Police Department. “After a brief investigation he was arrested for OUIL.”

At police headquarters, it was learned that Hayner was convicted in Merrimack District Court of OUIL in 2014, so he was charged with second offense. He is due in court on Dec. 17.
