Milford Man Indicted on 2nd Degree Assault Charge

The three-count indictment centers around allegations from June 2 in town.

A Hillsborough County jury issued a three-count indictment of Scott V. Johnson for allegedly punching a person in the face back in June.

The September indictments allege that Johnson, 24, of 111 Old Brookline Road, Milford, recklessly caused serious bodily injury to a man "by punching him in the face, causing facial fractures." This second degree assault charge is a Class B Felony.

The second charge, that of criminal threatening, holds that Johnson told the man he allegedly punched that, "I'll give you a reason to call the cops," according to the indictment.

The third count–resisting detention–alleges that Johnson ran away from Milford Police Officer Joshua Joki, after the officer told him to stop.

An indictment is a formal charge by a jury, not a finding of wrongdoing.
