New Hampshire State Police Search Stoddard Woods For Suspect After Pursuit

STODDARD, NH — State police are searching for a suspect in Stoddard and Nelson after a pursuit Thursday ended with the man fleeing into a wooded area.

State police identified the suspect as Patrick Allen Boyer, 39, and said Route 9 was closed Thursday night while officers search the area.

State police said Boyer was wanted on felony-level charges, as well as criminal restraint and obstructing report of a crime. They have been attempting to locate Boyer since Wednesday night.

Boyer was spotted Thursday afternoon and then was involved in a pursuit between Keene and Stoddard, a report stated. Police said they discontinued the pursuit for public safety reasons. State, county and local police continued searching the area and located Boyer’s vehicle in Stoddard.

Boyer is 5-foot-9, weighs 185 pounds, has short brown hair and blue eyes.

“It is believed Boyer could be armed and should not be approached,” the release stated.

State police said he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white undershirt and dark pants. They asked residents in the Stoddard and Nelson area to stay alert as the search continued.

“Police are asking residents in the Stoddard and Nelson area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity by calling 911,” a release stated.

The release did not say how long Route 9 would remain closed or when the search might end. As of the announcement, state police said state, county, and local officers were continuing extensive efforts to search the area.
