NH DES Holds Wetlands Public Hearings Next Month

The department proposing reorganization of wetlands, subsurface systems, and alteration of terrain bureaus and shore land programs.

NHDES will be holding informational meetings throughout the state to discuss how this reorganization will streamline existing permitting processes and enhance customer service. NHDES will also be answering questions and accepting public oral and/or written comments at these meetings.

The informational meetings will be held:

  • Nov. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at NHDES, 29 Hazen Drive in Concord.
  • Nov. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Portsmouth City Hall, 1 Junkins Avenue in Portsmouth.
  • Nov. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Laconia City Hall, 45 Beacon St. East in Laconia.
  • Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Littleton Opera House, 2 Union St. in Littleton.
  • Nov. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Keene Public Library, 60 Winter St. in Keene.

Registration is recommended due to the limited seating at each venue. To register for one of the scheduled informational meetings, please visit des.nh.gov and look for “LRM Reorganization Informational Meetings” under the “Hot Topics” section of the homepage.
