POLL RESULTS: Executive Council Democratic Primary is Competitive

Patch readers prefer Diane Sheehan slightly more than Jennifer Daler in online poll.

From Sept. 2-3, Patch had a District 5 Executive Council Democratic primary poll up asking readers which candidate would get their vote on Sept. 9.

Diane Sheehan received the most votes, 56 percent of 100 votes tabulated. Jennifer Daler, another Democrat, received 44 percent of the vote.

Another 34 votes in the poll were not tabulated, meaning that the results would have been slightly different. Unbeknownst to Patch at the time the poll was put together, SurveyMonkey.com only allows 100 responses for any of their free polls. Patch will be experimenting with other platforms to allow for the tabulation of all of the participating votes.

The poll is not scientific in any way, and put together just for fun to see what readers in Amherst, Merrimack, Milford, and Nashua, are thinking about when it comes to this Democratic contest.

The winner of the primary will face two Republicans running, Steve Hattamer and Dave Wheeler. We’ll have a poll up for them soon.
