Senator Bragdon's Bills

The Senate leader is sponsoring these bills in 2013, including effort to remove turnpike tolls.

Senate President Peter Bragdon (R-Milford) has sponsored these bills so far in the 2013 legislative session. These bills below are "as introduced."

House Bill 115, AN ACT relative to the procedure for filling a vacancy on a cooperative school district budget committee. This bill modifies the procedure for filling a vacancy on a cooperative school district budget committee.

House Bill 507, AN ACT relative to the maximum permit application fee for certain municipal dredging projects. This bill limits the maximum permit application fee for certain municipal dredging projects.

Senate Bill 3, AN ACT eliminating the ramp tolls on the Everett turnpike in the town of Merrimack. Bill reads, in part: "Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the commissioner of the department of transportation shall eliminate the northbound and southbound ramp tolls for exits 10, 11, and 12 on the Everett turnpike in the town of Merrimack."

Senate Bill 36, This bill changes the property tax exemption for veterans who are totally and permanently disabled from service connection to a full exemption from property taxation on their homestead.

Senate Bill 37, AN ACT relative to management rights under collective bargaining. This bill expands the definition of “terms and conditions of employment” as it relates to public employee labor relations. A Senate committee voted 5-0 on Jan. 31 to recommend "inexpedient to legislate."

Senate Bill 72, AN ACT including owls within the definition of raptor for the purposes of falconry. 

Senate Bill 73, AN ACT prohibiting an immediate family member of a school board member from being employed by the school district.

Senate Bill 111, AN ACT permitting municipalities to establish a capital reserve plan for expenditure of capital reserve funds. This bill permits municipalities to adopt a capital reserve plan by a supermajority vote.

Senate Bill 112, AN ACT requiring constitutional amendment concurrent resolutions to contain the language for the voter’s guide. 

Senate Bill 113, AN ACT relative to a school district’s transportation responsibility for pupils of divorced parents with joint decision making responsibility. This bill provides that a school district shall not be responsible for transporting a pupil of divorced parents with joint decision making responsibility beyond the designated attendance area for the school to which the child is assigned.

Bragdon represents District 11, which is comprised of Amherst, Merrimack, Milford and Wilton.
