South Boston Man Arrested On Attempted Murder Charges
John Dinsmore, 54, was arrested after allegedly attacking two women on June 5, in Fitzwilliam.

KEENE, NH — New Hampshire State Police have arrested a Massachusetts man they believe is responsible for a home invasion and attempted murder of two women in Fitzwilliam last week, according to a report. John Dinsmore, 54, of Orton Marotta Way in South Boston, MA, and Laurel Lake Campground on East Lake Road in Fitzwilliam, was arrested on June 12, 2017, on two counts of attempted murder and a fugitive from justice charge. Dinsmore was located at a family member’s home in Southie and apprehended without incident by the Mass. State Police.

NHSP are releasing limited information about the case but they believe that the incident was an isolated attack, according to Lt. Joseph T. DiRusso of Troop C. Residents who live in the area, however, are encouraged to remain vigilant and take normal safety precautions, DiRusso noted.

According to WMUR-TV, the two women were out for a walk last week when they stopped to speak with two men – one they knew and another that they didn’t know. Hours later, when the women had returned home, one of the men allegedly went to the home, asked for money, and then proceeded to attack the women. One was reportedly stabbed eight times, according to the report.
