St. Joseph Healthcare, Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce Host Wellness Fair

St. Joseph Healthcare and the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring the first St. Joseph Healthcare Health & Wellness Fair to Milford on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Armory, according to a press release.

The Health & Wellness Fair will feature exhibits, demonstrations and health screenings for all ages. The Fair is free admission but will be accepting donations for SHARE of health and wellness products such as toothpaste, feminine products, diapers, personal care items such as soap and shampoo and other necessities. There will also be door prizes and raffles.

Cooking enthusiasts can enter the Healthy Recipe contest to showcase their skill in building a healthy recipe around seasonal ingredients. There will be two categories: entrée, appetizer or salad category and a dessert category. Contestants are asked to use asparagus as an ingredient in the entrée category and rhubarb in the dessert category. Entries will be judged for the healthiest recipe and the tastiest, with the winning recipes being featured in the St. Joseph Healthy News magazine. Amateur cooks and restaurant or professional cooks are welcome to enter.
