Voters Go to the Polls in Milford Tuesday

Competitive races for numerous town and school office positions as well as town and school budgets will be considered on March 8.

MILFORD, NH - Voters in Milford will go to the polls from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, to vote on competitive town races and budgets. Voting will take place at the Milford Middle School Gymnasium.

There are competitive races for Board of Selectmen - two candidates running for one, three-year position; three candidates for a single town clerk's position, and two candidates running for a two-year town moderator position.

On the school ballot, three candidates are running for two three-year term seats.

Voters will get to cast ballots for a town operating budget of either $13,993,310 or a default budget of $13,804,411. A water department budget of about $1.4 million and a wastewater treatment operating budget of $1.9 million will also be decided.

A $5.6 million library construction project and a $3 million capital bond for the school district are also on the ballot this year.

A proposed school operating budget of $39,643,423 is being considered, too. The default budget is $39,405,155.
