THE 38th ANNUAL MESSIAH SING! CONCERTS IN MONT VERNON AND MILFORD HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED
A wonderful opportunity to welcome the holiday season will be provided by the 38th annual Messiah Sing! in Mont Vernon and Milford.Performances are scheduled for Saturday, December 5, at 7:00PM at the Mont Vernon Congregational Church at 4 South Main Street, Mont Vernon and on Sunday, December 6, at 4:00PM at the Milford United Methodist Church at 327 North River Road, Milford.
The Messiah Sing! tradition was begun by a small group of very courageous Mont Vernon Congregational Church members and their choir director who recruited their friends and persuaded their neighbors to join in the fun the first year. It has grown to include as many as 125 chorus members from 21 communities and an outstanding small professional orchestra has been added. The trumpet and timpani surely add to the thrill of the performances. Our director this year is Dr. Heidi Welch.
The performances are open to all at no cost and an opportunity for a free will offering to offset expenses will be provided during the concerts.
