2 Arrested in Nashua Check Scheme: Police

NASHUA, NH — Nashua police arrested two Manchester men accused of cashing counterfeit checks at a local bank.

Tiama Kouassi (pictured at left), 23, and Garang Lual, 28, both of Manchester, were arrested earlier this month.

Police said in the summer, they received a report from a local bank that the pair cashed fake checks. Police investigating and obtained arrest warrants for Kouassi and Lual.

Kouassi was charged with felony theft and Lual was charged with felony forgery.
