5 Things to Know in Nashua Today, Dec. 20
You've got mail. A Happiness Word Index. And a note on The King.

1) Happiness Word Index. We'll start off (seeing as these could the final hours before the Mayan end of days, or Zombie Apocalypse, or what have you) with this fun and interesting report on the 25 happiest words in the English language. Turns out, laughter and love are at the top, Mental Floss notes. What words make you happy? Smile?
2) Mostly sunny. The forecast for today, Dec. 20, calls for a mostly sunny day in Nashua. That's according to the National Weather Service. (Here's hoping–yesterday's forecast was a little off...) Thursday night, expect some rain and some snow showers, with little to no accumulation.
3) School meetings. There are two school committee meetings tonight. At 6 p.m., the School Construction Projects Committee is scheduled to meet at Nashua High School North. At 7 p.m., the Joint Special School Building Committee is set to meet at NHS-North.
4) Special Newtown Mail Box. The U.S. Postal Service has created a special post office box for people to send condolences and similar messages to the people of Newtown, CT.
5) Elvis. Was it a blue Christmas for Elvis Presley on this day in 1957, as he received his draft notice? He was 22 at the time.
