70-Year-Old Nashua Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 2 Girls

John Heitkamp was charged with a host of crimes.

The following is a news release from Nashua police:

On December 31st, 2014 at approximately 9:56 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s UniformField Operations Bureau arrested John Heitkamp, age 70, of 112 Tolles Street, Nashua, New Hampshire, on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, Class A Felony.

On December 29th, 2014, members of the Special Investigation Division met with two juvenile female victims, who reported being sexually and physically assaulted in Nashua by a person known to them between July 2014 and October 2014. Members from the Special Investigations Division furthered the investigation and determined John Heitkamp was responsible for the sexual and physical assaults.

Heitkamp is being charged with seven counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and one count of Second Degree Assault-Strangulation. An Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, Class A felony, is punishable by up to twenty years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Second Degree Assault- Strangulation, Class B felony, is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Heitkamp is being held on $50,000 cash bail pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on January 2nd, 2015.
