Academy for Science and Design Named #1 High School in New Hampshire
For the second consecutive year ASD is ranked the top high school in NH and breaks into the esteemed top 100 high schools in the US.

NASHUA, NH – The Academy for Science and Design Chartered Public School (ASD) proudly announces its recent recognition as the #1 High School in New Hampshire for a second consecutive year according to the US News and World Report. This year, ASD is also bringing an additional honor to the Granite State as the school has also earned a spot on US News’ esteemed list of “Top 100 Schools” across the nation, an accolade that further solidifies the school’s commitment to excellence in education.
This has been a pivotal summer for New Hampshire’s STEM-focused chartered public school, as ASD is also in the final weeks of transitioning into its “forever home” at 9 Townsend West in Nashua, an expansive 137,000 square foot facility that more than doubles the size of the school’s previous footprint. Additionally, ASD will welcome the school’s first incoming class of fifth graders this fall, expanding the current program that has served students in grades 6-12. The total enrollment for the 2023-2024 academic year is expected to be 650, with a diverse student body representing over 30 sending districts from around the state.
Jenn Cava, ASD’s Director since 2011 who was recognized this summer as Tech Educator of the Year by the NH Tech Alliance, reflected on ASD's recent achievements. "Celebrating being named #1 in New Hampshire for a second year in a row and also breaking into the nation’s ‘Top 100’ isn’t really about the ranking—it's a recognition of every ‘Eureka!’ moment in our labs and classrooms, of every student’s dream taking flight in our hallways. It represents the innovation, grit, and perseverance that is at the heart of our school and of our Granite State.”
