Acting Classes: Peacock Players Want You (to Join the Fun)
Still openings for Peacock Players acting classes, which begin today.

If you or someone you know loves the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd, it's time to get involved with one of the city's most active community theater troupes.
Classes begin this week, Sept. 10-14.
Plenty of space still available. Open enrollement and prorated tuition available until Sept. 23-28.
IMPROV CLASSES with Alex Giggey
Alex Giggey is proud to serve as a Peacock Players Summer Theatre Camp Counselor, and as the Assistant Director of TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES, Peacock Players' celebrated youth improv comedy troupe. Alex was honored as a Top Three Finalist for Best Supporting Actor at the 10th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Captain Reginald Van Cleef in the multi-award-winning production of THE DINOSAUR MUSICAL. Alex has appeared in over 35 Mainstage productions with Peacock Players.
IMPROVE YOUR IMPROV - Improve your acting technique with the foundation of theatre arts – improvisation. Students will discover the fundamentals of improvisation, improve storytelling skills, learn techniques to think quickly on their feet, and to be more creative in the moment. This spirited, fun course is designed for the young actor who wants to learn the essentials of good scenic improvisation or for anyone who wants to improve their teamwork or communication skills. Through coaching, warm-up exercises, creative performance games and basic short-form scene-work, students will learn how to be more spontaneous, trusting, and collaborative.

AUDITION CLASSES with Keith Weirich
Keith Weirich proudly serves as the Artistic Director for Peacock Players, New Hampshire's premier award-winning youth theatre. Keith is a professional Equity actor from New York City, originally a native of Erie, PA. For over thirty-five years he has performed in over forty professional and regional theatres across the United States and Europe. Mr. Weirich was recently honored at the 10th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards with the award for Best Director of a Musical (Community Division). He has produced and directed more than 60 Mainstage productions with Peacock Players.
AUDITION STUDIO - Prepare your auditions on the professional level by working one on one in a small group setting with former Actors’ Equity Broadway performer, casting director, and Peacock Players Artistic Director, Keith Weirich. Students will focus on where to find good audition material, sharpen their audition skills, as well as get qualified feedback from an industry professional.

DANCE CLASSES with Taylor Morrow
Taylor Morrow is proud to serve as a Peacock Players Summer Theatre Camp Counselor, and as the Assistant Musical Director of PEACOCKAPELLA, Peacock Players' all-new A Capella singing troupe. Taylor was honored as the recipient of the Best Actor Award at the 10th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Quincy in the multi-award-winning production of THE DINOSAUR MUSICAL. Taylor appeared in over 23 Mainstage productions with Peacock Players.
AUDITION DANCE I & II - Improve your dance skills with this theatre dance class designed to help beginning and intermediate students audition with confidence. Through a variety of dance styles and degrees of difficulty, students will learn a different audition dance combination each week. Modeled after popular Broadway combinations, each audition dance will strengthen poise, coordination and self-expression – giving students the ability for better execution at upcoming dance callbacks. AUDITION DANCE culminates in an exciting showcase performance for friends and family.
