Why are you seeking elective office?
There is a concern among Nashua residents that there is too much power in the hands of a select few officials in office who no longer listen to their constituents and who no longer act on our behalf. I want to return a voice of the citizens to City Hall and try to put an end to the political cronyism that has been creeping into our city government.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The politicizing of things that shouldn't be politicized. Too often members of one political party will say no to an idea even if it's a good idea simply because it came from the other side or say yes to a bad idea because it came from one of their cronies. To be clear, both sides do this. I will support a good idea and oppose a bad one, regardless of where the idea came from.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am for reducing wasteful spending, enforcing the spending cap, trying to reduce the tax burden on Nashua citizens, supporting and strengthening our nationally recognized police department, and providing transparency and openness to the city government.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Spending has been skyrocketing in recent years, increasing the tax burden on Nashua citizens who are already struggling.
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
I think that for the most part they did what they thought was best, but while that sounds nice, it also shows the problem with our city government. They didn't take enough time to talk to the citizens or local business owners to get their feedback. Decisions were made based on the fears of a select few. To be fair, when the pandemic first started, there was plenty of fear to go around, we didn't know what was happening, but now as we get closer and closer to the two-year anniversary of the start of the pandemic, some people are still using scare tactics instead of reason and logic.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have spent nearly 10 years serving on the Board of Directors for both Greater Nashua Little League and Greater Nashua Men's Evangelical Softball League, including a term as President of Greater Nashua Little League, and I am still the current President of Greater Nashua Men's Evangelical Softball League. While neither of those carries the weight of city government, I did have "constituents" I had to listen to, thousands of them. I had to work within the Board to solve problems, manage tasks, allocate funds, conduct meetings, and more.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
If you don't like the way things are going, get involved and change them
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I don't have the lengthy resume that some other candidates do, but I do know what Nashua citizens want, because I am one. I will always be available to listen to the concerns of the people in my ward and do what is right for them, not just do what's right for me.
