All Pets Veterinary Hospital to Host Grand Opening Oktoberfest Celebration in Nashua

All Pets Veterinary Hospital will host a free family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 11, to celebrate the grand opening of its new location at 25 Riverside St. in Nashua, across from the South High School.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature German food, giveaways and raffles and tours of the hospital. There will also be a stuffed animal adoption fundraiser to raise money for Rhianna’s Fund, as well as visits from a number of special animal guests.

The move from its previous location on Ferry Road marks a significant expansion for All Pets Veterinary Hospital, which has provided a full range of veterinarian services in Nashua since June 2009. With the new building, the hospital will grow from 1,600 to 5,000 square feet, and from two exam rooms to six. The new location also substantially increases parking, with 40 spaces. The hospital is also adding veterinary staff, enabling them to offer weekend appointments.

“Our Oktoberfest Grand Opening celebration is open to the whole town, and it’s going to be a fun event for all ages,” says owner Melissa Magnuson DVM, who is also a mom to three children. “Of course, we’re excited to show off our new location, but we also want people to just come, have some great food, enter in our pet costume contest and meet some of the interesting animals we’ll have there. There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30am that Mayor Lozeau will be attending.”

With regard to the expansion, Magnuson explains, “moving to this much larger location allows us to expand our staff and offer the extended hours and availability our customers have been asking us for. With our new location right across from South High School, we’d love to explore a relationship school system, perhaps offering internships or work study programs to provide hands-on opportunities for students interested in veterinary sciences.”

The Renovation Team

The building renovation took three months. Kneeland Construction of Medford, MA served as the general contractor, but used all Nashua tradesmen to complete the project.
