Alleged Robber Caught by Nashua Police

Jerald "JJ" Leith was arraigned this morning for allegedly robbing an elderly woman.

A local man suspected of robbing an elderly woman on Congress Street earlier this month has been apprehended by police.

Police, according to a statement, arrested Jerald “JJ” Leith, 26, of Almont Street in Nashua, at around 1 p.m. on Aug. 27. He was charged with felony robbery.

Police allege that Leith approached a woman on Congress Street on Aug. 20, pushed her to the ground, and stole her pocketbook, after a brief struggle.

“The victim sustained a cracked bone to her foot and other scrapes and bruises,” according to Lt. Denis Linehan of the department’s criminal investigation division.

He was arraigned in Nashua District Court this morning, according to police.

The arrest of Leith came just a day after Bradley Bernard was arrested on an array of charges connected to the case.
