Nashua Police arrest Warren Picard after incident at Shaw's.

A man was arrested this afternoon for allegedly attempting to steal wine from the Shaw’s Supermarket on Main Street.

“Picard also had an active electronic bench warrant issued for his arrest for a nonappearance in court,” according to Lt. James Testaverde of the criminal investigations division. “Following Picard’s arrest it was discovered that he had two prior theft convictions on his criminal record and as a result his charge was upgraded to a Class B felony.”
If convicted, Picard faces up to seven years in prison and fines. Picard, according to police, will be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Dec. 9.

Picard was described by a local newspaper as a “frequent flyer” in police logs, something backed up by posts on Patch. He was charged in 2012 with criminal trespass twice in the Gate City, according to posts. He was also arrested in Bedford in 2012 on a receiving stolen property charge.
