Ambulances, Firefighters And Police Respond To Dog Attack In Nashua
Several people were bitten by a dog at the Pet Clinic on D.W. Highway Wednesday morning. Police say the dog had to be euthanized.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR Ambulance responded to a call at 112 D.W. Highway for a report of multiple people that had been bitten by a dog.
Two AMR ambulances and an engine from Nashua Fire Rescue arrived at the scene of Pet Clinic at 9:25 a.m. Upon arrival, they requested an additional AMR ambulance due to the number of injured people. Nashua Police also responded to the scene of the incident, according to NFR Chief Steve Buxton.
Responders found that a dog attacked multiple people at the clinic, and it is unknown if they were employees or customers. One victim left the scene and was driven by a private vehicle to a local hospital, and two people were transported by AMR ambulance. An elderly woman was seen being walked to a waiting AMR ambulance, and appeared not to have serious injuries. At this time sources indicate none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Nashua Police Sergeant Roy confirmed that several officers responded to the scene to assist with the situation. Sgt. Roy confirmed medical professionals from the clinic euthanized the dog. A worker at a nearby store described the dog as large, but could not confirm the breed of the dog.
People in the area outside of the rear of the clinic were seen using liquid to wash down the concrete area outside of the Pet Clinic door.

The Pet Clinic is located in a strip mall surrounded by several other businesses. A closed sign was placed on the clinic's front door, and the phone was not answered when a call was placed for information on the incident. The website listed for the business on Google appeared to not be functioning Wednesday afternoon.
Nashua Police indicated there does not appear to be anything criminal involved and will not be investigating further at this time.
