The Amherst Town Band presents a free concert tonight, July 3, at 8:15 at Souhegan High School in Amherst. Lisa Hansen, the new conductor, will lead the band in a performance featuring patriotic songs, marches, and other selections. The band concert is part of the village of Amherst's Fourth of July celebrations. The concert will conclude with fireworks.

Founded in 1985, the town band provides musical entertainment to Amherst and surrounding communities. The band performs each summer on the town green in Amherst.
