1. Local Event: Family STEM Day just a few days away! Join us for science fun! (patch.com) — Families can dive into hands-on science at the free Family STEM Day this Saturday, May 16, at Nashua High School South, with plenty of parking and activities for all ages. Expect planetarium shows, Tesla coil demos, food trucks, and exhibits from Nashua schools, city departments, nonprofits, and robotics teams supported by the Brian S. McCarthy Memorial Foundation.
2. Police locate, arrest Merrimack man in connection with hit-and-run crash in Nashua (unionleader.com) — Nashua police have arrested a Merrimack man in connection with an April hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian on White Oak Drive, and he’s now being held without bail. Multiple agencies helped track him down after an attempted capture in Merrimack, and court proceedings are underway in Nashua district court while the victim continues to recover.
3. Spend Memorial Day weekend at newly renovated Renaissance Park in Nashua (unionleader.com) — Memorial Day weekend will bring four days of free and low-cost fun to the newly renovated Renaissance Park and connected Riverwalk in downtown Nashua, including live music, art activities, a drone show, and a lighted kayak parade. Families can also catch the Rubber Duck Regatta, the season-opening Nashua Farmers Market, and prime views of the Memorial Day Parade from Bicentennial Park, with nearby garages and street parking available.
4. Men From Londonderry, Nashua, And Raymond Indicted On Drug Sale-Distribution Charges: Court Roundup (patch.com) — Nashua residents are named in a new round of Hillsborough County indictments tied to alleged drug sales, possession, and other offenses in the city over the past two years. The list also includes people from Londonderry, Raymond, Merrimack, and out of state, with incidents ranging from alleged fentanyl distribution to identity fraud at a Nashua credit union. All are accusations, not convictions.
