• Missing Nashua Man Frequents Lawrence And Lowell, Police Say (patch.com) — Nashua police are asking residents for help locating 33-year-old Christopher Serrano, missing since April 20 and known to visit Lawrence and Lowell, Massachusetts. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Daniel Hodges or use the department’s anonymous tip line so officers can check on Serrano’s safety and well-being.
• Nashua officials consider renovating, closing schools over next decade (wmur.com) — Nashua school officials are weighing a $145 million plan that could renovate or even close some school buildings as enrollment drops over the next decade. With about 9,500 students now and a projected 10% decline, the Board of Education is narrowing options before sending a final facilities plan to the Board of Aldermen for approval.
• Open Studio Day at A Fiber in the Woods draws monthly crafters (nashuatelegraph.com) — A Nashua art teacher, Sheri Bulluck, joined other crafters for Open Studio Day at A Fiber in the Woods in nearby Merrimack, where participants experimented with shrink film, crochet and leatherwork. The monthly gathering at Thornton’s Landing drew makers from several New Hampshire towns and Massachusetts, highlighting a creative outlet close to Nashua residents interested in fiber arts and hands-on classes.
