Missing Elderly Nashua Man Found Dead, Police Say

NASHUA, NH — An elderly man from Nashua who was reported missing earlier today has been found dead, according to Nashua police.

Around 2 p.m., Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, reported James Johnson, 78, missing. Family and friends, he said, were concerned for his well-being after he left his home while driving a 2026 Honda CR-V. The family, Cinelli said, did not know where he was heading.

About seven hours later, Cinelli reported Johnson had been located but was deceased. Police are investigating his death.

"The Nashua Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Johnson's family and loved ones during this difficult time," he said. "We also thank the members of the public who assisted by sharing information and supporting the search efforts."
