NASHUA, NH — Nashua children are invited to City Hall on Monday, Oct. 26, for the city's third annual trick-or-treat afternoon, a family event scheduled ahead of Halloween.
The event will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at City Hall, located at 229 Main St.
According to the city's announcement, kids and parents are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and stop by participating departments inside the building.
The city described the event as a "non-scary, family-friendly event." Staff will be stationed in the rotunda at the front of the building to hand out maps showing which departments are taking part, according to the announcement.
Families are asked to bring their own treat collector bag or container. The event is designed as an early Halloween outing before the city's door-to-door trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 31.
"Kids (and parents!) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and visit the participating departments within City Hall," the city stated. "This will be a non-scary, family-friendly event."
The notice also asks families to come prepared for collecting candy and other treats.
"Please bring your own treat collector bag or container," the announcement states.
For families planning to attend, the city said several parking options are available near the building. On-street metered parking, two lots at the Elm Street back entrance, and a parking garage are all adjacent to City Hall.
The city's announcement said families can "Come grab some early treats before official trick-or-treating happens door-to-door on Saturday, Oct. 31."
City hours for trick-or-treating on Oct. 31 will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
