Nashua, NH - The Nash Casino, New Hampshire's largest charitable gaming venue presented over $2.3 million in combined contributions to 12 New Hampshire nonprofit organizations on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. This extraordinary amount was accumulated from the combined revenues generated by games of chance, historical horse racing machines and video lottery terminals during the month of September.
This is the seventh consecutive month the venue has contributed over $2.2 million to charitable partners. The Nash has raised a combined $16.8 million in that period. In the past 19 months, The Nash generated $35.8 million for New Hampshire nonprofits.
"Speaking with our charitable partners and learning more about how these funds are strengthening communities across the state is incredibly inspiring," said Eric Althaus, general manager of The Nash Casino. "Each ceremony serves as a profound reminder that we are a part of something special, and that our shared efforts are making a real difference."
Representatives of beneficiary organizations who attended the check presentation ceremony expressed how partnering with The Nash has enabled them to expand their services.
"98% of the girls who participate in our programming are able to do so because of scholarship opportunities," said Girls at Work Operations Manager Cydney Dodge. "Because of The Nash's generous contribution, more young women between the ages of 8-14 will be exposed to woodworking, science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM) within an environment that is conducive to hands-on learning."
"This was a much-needed boost at a crucial time," said Revive Recovery Resource Center Executive Director Jessica Carter. "Revive has expanded its programs significantly over the last year and we are making major investments in our housing and youth programs. The funds provided will bring us one step closer to ensuring continuous Camp Mariposa programming for youth and families impacted by substance use and to finalizing Revive's investments in 'The Hive,' a new, ADA accessible, Level III, 18-bed recovery residence in Manchester that will provide a safe place for women to continue their recovery journeys."
"New Hampshire's injured, orphaned and ill mammals will directly benefit from the enclosures, medical care and food we are able to supply due to this remarkable partnership," said Millstone Wildlife Center Executive Director Frannie Greenberg. "An important aspect of our mission is public education and helping residents coexist with their wild neighbors. As the only wildlife rehabilitation center in the state to offer an internship program, this support will also go toward inspiring the next generation of wildlife rehabilitators."
According to state law, 35% of games of chance revenues and 8.75% of HHR machine revenues are set aside for two nonprofits assigned to each week of gaming. The combined revenues are split evenly between the two nonprofits. In addition, 10% of games of chance and 16.5% of HHR revenues are contributed to the state Education Trust Fund. New VLT revenue is taxed at 31%. Of that amount, 35% will be contributed to local charities. The remainder is contributed to the state's General Fund, Education Trust Fund and other state programs. In the month of September, The Nash sent $2,570,200.09 to the state fund.
