CRUSH PIZZERIA WILL DEBUT NEW “FRESH CASUAL” CONCEPT IN NASHUA
Concept mingles new build-your-own wood-fired
pizza option with traditional menu favorites
Nashua, NH (May 29, 2013) –
On the heels of its second anniversary, Crush
Pizzeria Napoletana of Nashua today announced that it plans to re-tool its
current casual-dining format to a “fresh-casual” style. The restaurant will be
closed Monday, June 3 through Sunday, June 9 and re-open Monday, June 10 with
the new format and a full gelato bar.

Opened in 2011 by Chef Tony Naser and his brother, Elie Naser, proprietors of Naser Diamonds, Crush features authentic Neapolitan pizza
prepared with hand-made dough and the freshest ingredients available, including
house-made, fresh mozzarella. The pizzas are cooked in an Italian-made wood
fired oven, which burns at a steady 1000 degrees, resulting in piping-hot pizzas
with deliciously-charred thin crusts in about 90 seconds.
The fresh
casual concept is gaining traction in the restaurant world as a meeting place
between full-service dining and quick-service, or “fast casual.” Crush
customers will select their pizza toppings from more than 30 options as they
proceed along the open line, pay for their purchase and either dine-in or enjoy
their meals at home.

“We are very excited to debut the ‘fresh casual’ pizza concept here in Nashua,” said Tony Naser. “Our fast-cooking, authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas are perfectly suited for it. Guests are certain to enjoy the Chipotle-like ‘build your own’ setup, and lunchtime customers will love how fast the experience is, too.”
With the new concept, Crush’s 12-inch pizzas will feature the same fresh, artisanal ingredients, but will be priced at or below $7.00. In addition to the build-your-own pizza options, Crush will continue to offer its most popular menu items, including pizzas such as the Margherita, Salsiccia and Funghi; panu ozzo (sandwiches); dinner entrees; appetizers such as the crispy Limoncello chicken wings; and several salads. Crush will also now feature a full gelato bar with house-made gelato in several flavors.
Construction is currently underway on a second Crush Pizzeria location – this one in Boston’s financial district – which is expected to open in early July 2013. The Nasers say they decided to switch over to fresh casual in Nashua to align the two locations. “We ask our regular customers to bear with us while we are closed for a few days, and look forward to welcoming returning and new customers alike when we re-open on June 10th,” said Tony Naser.
