Second Annual Karma Yoga in the Park for Peace and Paws to Benefit Dog Rescue

Peace and Paws invites dog lovers and yoga lovers to a morning of outdoor yoga with live music while supporting an organization that saves dogs from high-kill shelters and finds them loving, forever homes. The second annual Karma Yoga in the Park for Peace and Paws Dog Rescue will take place Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. on the Henniker Community Center Lawn in Henniker, N.H. Suggested donations of $10 to $20 will support rescue efforts for this all-volunteer organization in their mission to place homeless dogs in adoptive homes in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Yogini Tracy Donahue will lead an all-levels flow yoga practice, and local musician Rudraksha Devi will play for the crowd. All are welcome, and participants should bring their own yoga mats.

“At last year’s Yoga in the Park, people did something wonderful for their hearts, minds and bodies, while also helping dogs escape horrible situations and find happy homes with local families,” said Melissa Hannon, co-founder of Peace and Paws. “The support of this community has been so important to the work we do, and we’re looking forward to another great morning of downward facing dog for dog rescue.”
