The male American Goldfinch made such pretty and a relaxing portrait in the little flower garden, that I just had to snap a photo of it.
The Goldfinch nests late in the summer when it can take advantage of thistle and milkweed down to line their nests. Occasionally a fledgling may get entangled in the bushes where the nest is found and they may not survive.
