Another Dot on the Map

Proposed Hudson Logistics Center

Brad Griggs from Amazon talks about dots on a map.

It is proposed that our wonderful greenspace is replaced with a “dot on the map”. I think we need to look more into what these dots mean and learn about what they impact. Yes, they bring some lower income jobs and lots of traffic. Is it worth replacing our fresh air with this dot. I hope that the powers-to-be are looking at bettering our communities and not just placing dots on the map which may have many negative future impacts.

It was mentioned when the buildings run at full capacity they will just add another dot on the map to do more. Therefore, all of the traffic, and pollution studies and models should use data at 100% capacity as that is the goal. 100% capacity studies should reveal the worst case impact scenarios that we will have to live with side-by-side.
