Arrest in Nashua Market Basket Theft
Nashua police announced an arrest in a Market Basket theft this week.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman on Thursday was charged with stealing another woman's purse at Market Basket.
Sharon Vertigans, 25, of Rodean Drive, was arrested for felony theft. She has two prior theft convictions, police said.
On Thursday afternoon, a woman completed her shopping at the Market Basket at 375 Amherst St. but left her purse of her vehicle and drove off, dumping the purse on the ground, police said. Vertigans picked it up, took out the cash, and tossed the purse in a barrel inside the store, police said.

Police said they used the store's security cameras to identify Vertigans. She was arrested that night and released on $250 bail pending a May 1 arraignment.
