Artists Collective Theatre presents Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol

(Nashua, NH) Artists Collective Theatre (ACT) presents its first holiday show with the family-friendly “Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol,” a retelling of the classic Scrooge story by playwright Tom Mula.  The production will run December 26-28 and January 2-4 at the Hunt Memorial Building on 6 Main St in downtown Nashua.  Performances are at 8pm and tickets are available at www.act-theatre.org.

Perfect for the whole family, this festive ghost story opens as does Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, with Old Marley dead “as a door-nail.”  However, the focus never leaves his chained and burdened soul, remaining in the ethereal planes of the afterlife.  Given just 24 hours to redeem himself, Jacob Marley scrambles to reform his former partner in greed- that “squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner,” Ebenezer Scrooge.

Directed by ACT founding member Leah Belanger, the play features Aaron Compagna as Jacob Marley, Josh Dennis as Scrooge, Toby Paul as the Record Keeper, and newcomer Christoper DuBois as the spirit Bogle.
