Bat-Wielding Nashua Man Arrested

Police: Byron Medina allegedly smashed vehicle, threatened individual.

A local man was arrested recently on charges after an incident at a local convenience store, according to the Nashua Police.

Byron Medina, 23, of Kendrick Street in Nashua, was arrested on Sept. 8, and charged with criminal threatening, a felony, and criminal mischief.

Officers were called to the North End store for a report of a man hitting a vehicle with a baseball bat. The officers investigated the incident and later, located Medina in the area and took him into custody. It was learned that he had also allegedly threatened a person with the baseball bat prior to smashing the vehicle, according to police.

Medina was held on $5,000 cash bail and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on Sept. 9.

If convicted, Medina could face eight years in prison and fines.
