2 Bears Spotted In Nashua

NASHUA, NH — Two bears were spotted in Nashua near the Everett Turnpike Wednesday afternoon, city officials said. The bears were seen in the area of Hampshire Drive and Hartford Lane near a condominium complex behind Whole Foods. A mother bear may be in the area, officials added. Residents were asked to avoid contact with the bears.

Bear sightings in Nashua are rare. In July, Nashua police said they were forced to shoot a bear after a crowd acted "irresponsibly" by following it around — shouting and taking photos with their phones.
