Dedication Ceremony at Nashua Little League Opening Day

Dedication Ceremony held on May 4th for Fallen Nashua Little League Coach/Tyngsboro Police officer.

On Saturday morning May 4, Nashua Little League had their opening day celebration at Sunset Heights Field. It was also the dedication ceremony for a memorial honoring former Nashua Little League & Nashua Elks Coach and Tyngsboro Police Officer Andrew Ray, who passed away 4 ½ years ago unexpectedly.

He was the Nashua  "Twins" coach in Little League for 5 years.  In attendance were Coach Ray’s wife, Michelle, and son, Daniel, many friends, former players, coaches and colleagues.

The 2nd annual Andrew Ray award (Volunteer of the Year Award) was also presented by Michelle Ray to former Little League Coach Scott Baldassaro (Scott’s wife Cheryl accepted as Scott was unable to attend.)

Coach Ray's son Daniel threw out the first pitch to Andy’s former Twin's assistant, Jim Stewart. Former Nashua Little league Board Member Jim Porter was the driving force behind this plaque dedication.
