Equal Pay Day - The Gender Gap in Cold Hard Cash

Oh, yes... it's still there. Tuesday, April 9th marks the day when women on average will have finally earned the same as men earned from January of last year.

It's not just that women have to take jobs that allow them to care for the families that need them; it's not just upper-body strength; it's not just the kind of jobs that women traditionally gravitate to... and yes, those jobs earn less for lots of reasons and one of those reasons is that women will do them.

Pay disparity is also very prominent in the higher-paying fields where we still see women with the same resume earning less than their male counterparts. Not the same job title, but the same ability, experience and education.
