This event will include a meet and greet on Friday, April 26th at the Waysmeet Center located at 15 Mill Road, Durham, NH. This is right up the street from the Hamilton Smith Hall. We will kick off with a potluck style dinner so bring snacks or something to share if you can. We will have a chance to finalize class registrations, chat, make friends, and have open discussions. There may also be a movie shown before everyone retires to their sleeping quarters for the evening. To learn more about the Waysmeet Center, visit their Facebook here: www.facebook.com/the.Waysmeet.Center

We are currently working on finding space for people to sleep. We have some space for people to camp, and should have space for about 100 people before the event happens. We would ask that you try to work out your own sleeping arrangements by utilizing sites like couchsurfing.org/ before coming. If you are unable to find a place to stay, or if you have space for activists to stay, there is a group for housing located here: www.facebook.com/groups/ONEHousing/. If you need transportation to this event, or can provide transportation. Please join this group: www.facebook.com/groups/ONECarPool/.

On Saturday, we will begin the day bright and early with an 7 a.m. yoga session and meditation. Then we will have a 8 a.m.  Breakfast. This will be followed by a full day of classes beginning at 9 a.m. You can register for the free classes by visiting one4rc.eventbrite.com/. Sunday, Occupy New England and a host of Environmental groups including (but not limited to) the Green Party, and Idle No More will be marching for Environmental Justice and Environmental Stewardship. We are inviting all interested groups and individuals to march with us and celebrate the protection of our environment and shift to alternative energy.

We have a coalition of groups building, and expect more to become involved as the word gets out about this event. Line up will start at 11 a.m., and the start of the march will begin at Noon. Idle No More will lead us in a round dance in downtown Portsmouth, and from there we will march on the sidewalks along the pre-planned route, lead by the leftist marching band. For more information on Idle No more visit: www.facebook.com/IdleNoMoreCommunity and for the Leftist Marching band, visit www.facebook.com/leftistmarchingband.

We will be performing litter pick up during the march to encourage environmental stewardship, and show that no task is too small to help care for our mother earth. If you have ideas, please feel free to e-mail to one4rc@occupynewengland.org.

From there, we are all invited to attend the SEAC Solarfest at UNH. You can see more on the solarfest at their facebook page.www.facebook.com/UNHSolarfest and you can RSVP for Solarfest here: www.facebook.com/events/232385586899503/

If you can donate to this event, please send your donations online through the ONE Wepay here: www.wepay.com/donations/occupy-new-england. Also, this event will be an #OccupySandy donation drop off. Please take a look at the Occupy Sandy Registries interoccupy.net/occupysandy/registries/ to see the updated list of needs. After the event, we will be driving a U-Haul down to New Jersey to help with the relief and rebuilding efforts.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with various tasks during the event. We will need room facilitators, people to record classes for upload to an academy website, leave no trace crews, Crews for litter pick up during the environmental march, people to operate information tents and runners to help get people to where they need to go during the classes. We will also need some volunteers for carpooling in order to get people to their sleeping arrangements and to Portsmouth and back on the day of the Environmental march. If you think you can help out, please e-mail volunteer@occupynewengland.org

If you have any general comments or questions, you can e-mail them to one4rc@occupynewengland.org
