Say No to Thanksgiving Day Shopping
Just say no to Thanksgiving day shopping. Show retailers you do not agree with stores being open on Thanksgiving!
I heard that some retailers are thinking of opening on Thanksgiving at 8 p.m. to give people a jump on their Christmas shopping.
Really?
Each Thanksgiving my wife, the kids and I head to my in-laws house which is south of Boston. We usually head home between 8 and 9 p.m., and the highway goes past some large stores in Braintree. There are people camping out at the stores waiting for the doors to open at midnight. I guess that waiting outside in the cold for four hours to save $50 on something is worth it to some people...

While I do not believe the government should control when stores can be open, I encourage everyone to "just say no" to shopping on Thanksgiving. If few people show up this year, the retailers won't be open next Thanksgiving....
