Local School Bus Crashes Through Town Common After Brakes Fail: Police

Police said a quick-thinking school bus driver averted a more serious disaster after the brakes failed Wednesday afternoon.

Hudson police said the bus went barreling though the town common and crashed. No one was hurt.

Police said there were no students aboard the bus. The crash happened at about 3:50 p.m. as the bus was traveling on Ferry Road.

“Because of the bus driver’s quick thinking, this accident only resulted in damage to property with no injuries,” police said in a statment.
