Gunman in 2 Nashua Robberies Caught: Police

Police said they hit a convenience store and a gas station last week.


Nashua police on Wednesday said they arrested two men charged with robbing a convenience store and a gas station last week.

Melvin Campbell (at left), 41, of Chestnut St., Nashua, allegedly robbed the West Hollis Street Market Thursday and the Speedway gas station Saturday. Edgardo Gonzalez, 25, with no fixed address, allegedly helped Campbell in the market robbery. Police said they made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Campbell displayed a gun both times, police said.

Police said tips from concerned citizens helped them track down Campbell and Gonzalez.

Both men were held on $500,000 bail pending a court appearance.

Police said they are both on probation for previous convictions.
