Downtown Nashua is preparing for a high-energy holiday weekend as the Rubber Duck Regatta and the Nashua Farmers Market join the citywide Renaissance on the Riverwalk celebration. Hosted by the Downtown Nashua Association (DNA), these events offer residents a chance to win big while supporting the free community programs that define the city’s culture.
On Saturday, May 23 at 3:00 PM, 5,000 rubber ducks will be launched by the footbridge between the Clocktower and Cotton Mill Apartments. This beloved community tradition, previously hosted by Nashua Rotary West, finds a new home with DNA this year. Spectators can cheer on the "yellow tide" as it races toward the finish line for a chance at three major cash prizes:
<ul><li>First Place: $1,500</li><li>Second Place: $750</li><li>Third Place: $500</li></ul>
“The Duck Regatta is more than just a race,” said Alyssa O’Mara, DNA’s Executive Director. “Every duck adopted directly supports the free events our community loves, including the Winter Stroll, Nashua Pride, and the Main Street Monster Mash.”
Participants can <a href="https://www.duckrace.com/DowntownNashua/adopt" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">choose</a> a single duck, a “Six-Quack,” or a “Quacker’s Dozen” to increase their odds of winning. For those with a competitive spirit, the new <a href="https://www.duckrace.com/DowntownNashua/teams" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Team Competition</a> allows local businesses and organizations to rally their supporters. The group that sells the most ducks will earn a $2,500 donation made in their name to a Greater Nashua nonprofit of their choice.
The fun continues on Sunday, May 24, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the season opening of the Nashua Farmers Market. Held at the newly completed Nashua Riverwalk, the market features local growers, artisans, and food makers. With live music and rotating food trucks, the Sunday market provides a weekly destination for fresh produce and handcrafted goods through October.
Come downtown for this historic weekend to celebrate the new Riverwalk and keep Nashua’s community traditions thriving.

The Craftworkers’ Guild Spring&nbsp;Shop Celebrating 100 Years of&nbsp;Craftsmanship, Community and Creativity
The Craftworkers’ Guild is proud to continue the celebration of our 100th anniversary year with the Spring Shop. The shop will be open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursdays to Sundays from April 30th through May 24th. Our shop is located at the historic Kendall House, 3A Meetinghouse Road in Bedford, behind the Bedford Library.
Now in our centennial year, the Guild continues to honor a century-long commitment to excellence in fine craftsmanship. This year’s Spring Shop features the work of over 40 local Guild member artisans and craftspeople, showcasing a rich variety of handmade goods — from timeless New England traditions to fresh, modern designs.
“Reaching this 100-year milestone fills us with gratitude for the generations of crafters who shaped our Guild, and it inspires is to share a collection that honors that legacy while embracing new creative directions,” says Carol Davis, President of the Craftworkers’ Guild. “Each shop brings its own burst of imagination, and this year’s shop carries a special weight as we celebrate a century of handcrafted artistry.”
Shoppers will find a curated selection of locally made, juried crafts, with something for everyone — from Mother’s Day gifts to graduation and wedding presents — including seasonal décor, photography, fine art and prints, cards, woodworking, textiles, pottery, fiber arts, sewn and knitted items, soap and body care, gourmet goodies, candles, jewelry, glass, and more. Many items are one-of-a-kind, perfect for gifts or treating yourself.

Join us for our third annual plant sale and marketplace with proceeds benefitting the gardens at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. The gardens are entirely supported and funded by a dedicated team of volunteers from throughout the community. We are planning a tremendous event with over 150 varieties of exceptional native plants and non-natives that support our local wildlife. 
This includes many species that are indigenous to our area of New Hampshire which means they are extremely valuable for the successful reproduction of our native butterflies and moths. Our plants are New Hampshire grown and will be sold below retail price.
