May 8/9 New England Craft Market at LaBelle Winery (Derry, NH)

As of early 2026, food insecurity in New Hampshire is on the rise, reaching its highest rate since 2015-2017. This crisis affects 1 in 9 adults and 1 in 7 children. The increase is primarily driven by high living costs, reduced assistance from the pandemic era, and cuts in federal SNAP benefits.
Join the United Way of Greater Nashua in helping local families access the food, hygiene products, and support resources they need to get by.
**HOW CAN YOU DONATE?**&nbsp;&nbsp;
Every Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM (April thru December) and 12 PM to 3 PM (January thru March), volunteers from all backgrounds come together to collect donations of food and hygiene items from shoppers at local supermarkets. The donations gathered are distributed to local food pantries each week.
Food Drives and locations are subject to change, but below are the locations:
<ul><li>Hannaford, Hudson - First Saturday of each month</li><li>Hannaford, Nashua - Second Saturday of each month</li><li>Shaw's Main Street, Nashua - Third Saturday of each month</li><li>Walmart, Amherst - Fourth Saturday of each month</li></ul>
**INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?**&nbsp;&nbsp;
During the Food Drive, volunteers distribute flyers to interested shoppers, listing needed items in the hope that they will purchase additional products to donate. Volunteers will set up at one or two store entrances, depending on how many people register to help on a particular day. You can choose to only volunteer on one weekend or on many.

** NEED FOOD ASSISTANCE?**
Donations from the local Food Drives are given to local food pantries each week. Pantries receiving donations include Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, the Salvation Army, Corpus Christi Food Pantry, End 68 Hours of Hunger, St. Joseph Hospital Employee Food Pantry, among others. Before visiting a pantry, please check its hours.

Nashua Historical Society

In this hands-on class you will transform a plain white silk scarf (14x72 inches) into a unique wearable piece of art! You’ll learn some fundamental techniques of silk dyeing to create unique patterns from soft water color effects to bold, geometric designs using alcohol inks and walnut dye.No experience is necessary; just bring your creativity, and you will walk away with a one-of-a kind silk scarf! All materials will be provided. Instructor Suzanne Gamache is accomplished in the use of alcohol inks for painting on both paper and silk.
Reservations are required as this learning experience is open to 20 participants from&nbsp;12 years - adult at a cost of $30.00 per person for one scarf.
