Autumn in New Hampshire leads to one of the busiest times of the year with upcoming holidays. Are you looking to easily add a touch of holiday cheer to your home? The Nashua Garden Club is excited to invite the greater Nashua community to hear creative ideas for holiday floral design projects. The club’s next program “Holiday Flower Arranging” will be open to the public, free of charge at 7:00 PM on Wednesday November 5th. This session will take place at the First Baptist Church, 121 Manchester Street, Nashua NH and will be conducted by Robin Pike, Floral Designer at Fortin Gage Flowers, Nashua NH.
Ms. Pike started to work in a local flower shop owned by family friends while still in high school. Her passion for floral arrangement began then. Years later she and her husband became owners and operators of that shop and enjoyed it for 20 years. Ms. Pike’s next chapter led her to Fortin-Gage where she has happily remained for 34 years as a designer and design manager.
Attendees to this program will hear practical ideas to elevate their holiday decor and bring festive cheer into every corner of their home. The presentation will include tips such as how to create a fresh holiday boxwood tree and a durable multi-holiday centerpiece that smoothly transitions from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Ms. Pike will pass along general design recipes as well as additional decorative accent ideas to add pizzazz to arrangements.
All are welcome. There will be time for Q&A and light refreshments. A members-only business meeting will follow this session.
